Customer-Centric Versatility
MeWo S.r.l., founded in 2010 in Varese near Milan–Malpensa Airport, was established by Massimo Scodellaro and Paolo Tettamanti.
From the beginning, the company followed a turnkey philosophy, offering in-house CAD design, laser cutting, bending, welding, and painting coordination. This approach earned contracts across industrial automation, plastics processing, HVAC, marine applications, and aerospace.
MeWo handles projects ranging from single prototypes to large production runs in steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, and aluminum. As customer expectations increased, the company began to feel the limitations of turret punches and CO₂ laser technology, including slower cutting speeds, higher maintenance requirements, and reduced versatility.
“We saw the quality of the product, whether it was thin or thick material, and the versatility in terms of programming, managing and nesting.” Massimo Scodellaro, MeWo S.r.l.
