Restoring Client Trust by Choosing Reliable Performance With a 6kW Eagle iNspire

1982 company founded
6 kW eagle fiber laser
25–30 mm material thickness capability
6 months running on original lens with no contamination issues

From Apprenticeship to Leadership

Founded in 2002, Saiston Sheet Metal Ltd, located in East Goscote, Leicester, traces its roots to a deep commitment to quality and service.

The company was established by the current director after a former apprentice in sheet metal fabrication who had started his first business back in 1982. After the liquidation of that company during a financial crisis, he launched Saiston with backing from former suppliers and a clear mission.

He wanted to be the best company to work with and the best company to work for. Today, Saiston began as a small team of family and close colleagues and steadily grew by focusing on smart investment in technology and consistent, high-quality service.

“He wanted to be the best company to work with and the best company to work for.” Saiston Sheet Metal Ltd

Choosing Eagle: A Decision Rooted in Trust and Performance

The move to Eagle Laser came after repeated failures with an older laser system. Frequent jams, head contamination, and unreliable table changes led to costly downtime.

Challenge

Recurring breakdowns disrupted production flow

Frequent jams, cutting head contamination, and unreliable table changes created unplanned downtime and reduced overall productivity.

Smooth Installation, Immediate Impact

The machine was installed by Eagle’s engineers from Poland, who also handled removal of the old system. Operators quickly adapted to the new interface, and support has been consistent through UK service partner PW Machine Services and remote connection via Eagle’s MyESP software.

Six months in, the laser still runs on its original lens with no contamination issues, showing a clear improvement compared with the previous machine. With plans to expand into new sectors and facilities, and to add another laser in the near future, Saiston views Eagle not just as a supplier, but as a long-term partner.

Reliable production
The Eagle iNspire replaced a failing laser system and removed repeated downtime from the workflow.
Faster cutting speeds
Saiston gained speed and confidence for demanding customer work and shorter lead times.
Stronger support
UK service and MyESP remote support helped operators feel confident from installation onward.
Future expansion
The machine gave Saiston the confidence to plan further growth and add capacity.

The Laser That Restored Confidence in Production

By replacing an unreliable system with a 6 kW Eagle iNspire, Saiston eliminated recurring downtime, improved cutting performance, and gained a trusted foundation for future growth.
