High quality as the ultimate goal

KHS Ostroróg is a family business founded in 1986 in Ostroróg, a small town in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, north of Poznań.

In 2021, the company moved to nearby Ostroróg. Over decades of work, KHS Ostroróg became a leading manufacturer specializing in the assembly and renovation of production lines, machines, and equipment for the agricultural, food, and wood-processing industries.

KHS primarily fabricates low-carbon and stainless steel structures in thicknesses from 1 to 25 mm. Before entering the world of fiber lasers, the company relied on a plasma cutter. Over time, growing quality expectations, rising costs of outsourced precision parts, and the need for faster control over delivery made external laser cutting less attractive. This became the main reason behind the decision to purchase their own laser cutter.

““The costs of third-party services were rising, and the parts ordered didn’t always arrive on time, which slowed down our production. We calculated that it would be cheaper and more profitable to buy a machine than to continue relying on subcontractors.”” Tadeusz Hańczyk, Owner, KHS Ostroróg

Need more control over quality and delivery?

Benchmark precision, throughput, outsourcing cost, part quality, and payback for your own production mix.

The production challenge was not only speed. It was flexibility.

For manufacturers with more products, more variations, and tighter delivery expectations, cutting capacity becomes a commercial advantage.
Challenge

Outsourcing costs were rising and delivery was not always reliable

Third-party laser cutting services became more expensive and created delays when parts did not arrive on time.

What changed after the Eagle eVision installation

The Eagle eVision significantly accelerated the production process at KHS Ostroróg and allowed the company to depend less on external suppliers for project completion. The versatile eVision also helped KHS secure new customers that increased turnover and strengthened the company’s market position.

Thanks to intuitive software, operators quickly learned to control the machine, reducing the training barrier and making the cutting process simple, responsive, and efficient. KHS also highlighted the automatic nesting function, which reduces waste from specific parts and allows maximum use of available material.

Higher production autonomy
KHS no longer needed to depend on external suppliers for critical laser-cut parts.
Improved quality and precision
The machine helped the company produce parts aligned with high global standards.
Faster production flow
Internal laser cutting accelerated project completion and reduced waiting time for parts.
Efficient material usage
Automatic nesting helped reduce waste and maximize available sheet material.

Production Independence Starts with Quality

For KHS Ostroróg, bringing laser cutting in-house was about more than reducing reliance on subcontractors. It meant gaining full control over quality, delivery, and production planning. Discover how the Eagle ecosystem can help you build a more independent and responsive manufacturing operation.
